90 Days to Pilates Confidence
Be Pilates proficient by Christmas
A 90-day Pilates, strength and movement programme (with support, flexible classes, easy to follow ‘at home’ short workout plans and a private consultation) for anyone who wants to finally move beyond ‘wondering’ about Pilates and actually be able to do it by Christmas.
You know you need to do Pilates. Maybe you’ve been dipping your toe in to YouTube, drop in gym classes or pretending to do Pilates at home but just actually doing a bit of a stretch then getting distracted by that dust under the sofa (everyone has it).
Perhaps you’re worried about how unfit or stiff you are or just can’t find the right fit in a Pilates instructor near you.
- If you long to be fitter, stronger and more flexible but you need a bit of guidance?
- If you’ve tried Pilates before but felt told off, unco-ordinated or just bored?
- If you’d like to find a friendly, experienced and knowledgeable Pilates instructor who’ll hold your feet to the fire, challenge you and chart your progress (but who also doesn’t take life too seriously)?
By the end of the 90 days you’ll feel better, move better and be confident completing and progressing a short Pilates programme you can do at home. PLUS you’ll feel more confident to join any Pilates class and know your basic steps to help manage pain, make you stronger and perhaps even feel ready to try something more energetic.
We want you to love Pilates and movement but also feel stronger and healthier because you’ve got a plan in place.
Helping people get a great movement habit, who are perhaps a little nervous about getting started, is what I love. I do this with Pilates but also with resistance training and mobility. I want to encourage you to find ways to move that feel good for you and fit in with your lifestyle. And if something is beyond my remit, I can refer you to Chris, who’s a sports injury specialist or on to the physiotherapists we work with.
My back hasn’t been so good for a long time.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
WEEKLY/REGULAR PILATES CLASSES
I’d encourage you to join Pilates classes as soon as you can. You can do these in person in and around Epping, join online via Zoom or register and we’ll send you class recordings to do in your own time.* You can also access a library of classes via our membership site. Your 90-day package gives you 3 months of membership access to Fit School classes.
*Whilst you can do classes in your own time, we’d recommend you bookmark a specific time in your week to do this and protect it from being hijacked by people or stuff.
INTRODUCTION TO PILATES COURSE
In addition to regular classes, we’d recommend you work your way through the introduction to Pilates modules. We’ll be in touch regularly to recommend what’s there and what might specifically help you.
CONSULTATION
We’ll book in for a consultation within the first month of you getting started. During this session we’ll discuss lifestyle, ongoing issues/injuries and what you think the hurdles might be. We’ll work through any adaptations you may need for Pilates exercises to help you feel confident in your Pilates classes.
BESPOKE MOBILITY/PILATES PLAN
Following the consultation I’ll create a short, bespoke mobility, Pilates and strength programme for you to follow. This will be tailored to your specific needs to help you move more freely and to help with your Pilates classes.
END OF COURSE ASSESSMENT
In the last month of your time with us, we’ll arrange a catch up to discuss your progress and advise you on ongoing movement plans.
After the class I floated to pick up my children from school.
WHO’S IT FOR?
It’s for you if:
- You’ve been advised to do Pilates to help with back pain or injury and you’re beyond the physiotherapy/chronic pain stage (if you need more help see our Physio Referral Pilates programme).
- You know that movement and exercise is vital to your health and quality of life.
- You’re ready to learn, give Pilates a go and most importantly, commit to a regular time during the week to join classes.
It’s not for you if:
- You want a drop in class because you’re not sure you can commit to regular exercise.
- You’ve got a clear idea of what Pilates is and you just want to join Pilates classes in the way you’ve always done it.
- You’ve got an injury but you’re not sure what it is.
BUT WHAT IF?
But I only want to do classes
You can join Pilates classes anytime by purchasing a trial month or our monthly Fit School bronze membership.
But I don’t want to pay it all upfront
Our Fit School Bronze, monthly payment option is always available. This programme is for anyone who’d prefer to know upfront costs and who wants to make a short term commitment to get Pilates confident by Christmas.
