I've been teaching Ante Natal Pilates for over 15 years in Epping, London and online.
We know that pregnancy is a unique experience. You want to do the best for your baby’s development, to be able to prepare yourself for birth and ensure your body can cope with the demands of pregnancy, birth and recovery. It’s also a time when your brain can play overtime and the whole experience at times feels overwhelming, especially if you've experienced loss or fertility treatment. You want a Pilates instructor you can trust.
My pregnancy Pilates classes in Epping and online offer a safe place to discuss pregnancy concerns. We don't do stuffy. We think it's just as important to ask questions as it is to move your body.
As well as modified Pilates exercises, here are just a collection of special pregnancy considerations we incorporate into Fit School prenatal Pilates classes:
- Abdominal separation
- Breathing
- Relaxation preparation for labour and birth
- Optimal foetal positioning
- Back and pelvis mobility
- Strength and conditioning
- Pelvic floor work
- Relaxation of hip and sacral area
- Considerations for Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD)
